The Fox Warriors hosted their first home varsity football game last Friday, September 1, 2017. They lost 36-37, but the fans stayed energized and the football players left it all out on the field. “It was an awesome home opener,” said senior and football fan Shelby Coleman.

Right tackle Johnathan “JT” Foran said he likes the way the student section is always hyped and cheering for the team. Head Coach Brent Tinker wants to thank Dr. Ryan Sherp, Mr. Zack Brown, Ms. Robin Greene, and Mr. David Pleimann for helping improve students’ school spirit and involvement.

Tinker and Foran both said they think they have a good chance for post-season games. “We’ve grown a lot as a team this year, and I think it really shows out on the field,” said Foran. Tinker said to keep an eye out for the defensive linemen this season.

“I think it’s going to be a really great season!” said Coleman. Other fans who were participating in the student section at the game seemed to share her positive attitude.
